How it works
Nebivolol works through a dual mechanism. First, it selectively blocks β1-adrenergic receptors in the heart, slowing heart rate and reducing cardiac workload — this is shared by other cardioselective beta-blockers [1]. Second, and uniquely, it stimulates endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) via β3-receptor agonism, triggering nitric oxide (NO) release that relaxes and dilates blood vessels, reducing peripheral vascular resistance [3][2]. Risks & side effects
